Edisto Beach council approves janitorial and grounds contract extensions and cleaning amendment

The Edisto Beach Town Council on April 9 approved several contract actions for facility maintenance.
Council approved the third one-year extension of the janitorial services contract with Phoenix Home Care, LLC for Bay Creek Park and the Edisto Beach Civic Center. Council also approved an amendment to the janitorial contract with DM's Cleaning Service to include weekly cleaning for the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the former Town Hall to be repurposed as the Police Station, and the Water Plant at a rate of $675 per week. Council approved the third one-year extension of the grounds maintenance contract with Back Water Landscaping, LLC and amended that contract to include mowing of the causeway along SC-174 at $175 per service and the servicing of sidewalks along Palmetto Boulevard at $3,500 per service.
Jerome Kizer moved to approve the Phoenix Home Care extension; Robert Renner seconded. Joey Bagwell moved approval of the DM's Cleaning Service amendment; Jerome Kizer seconded. Robert Renner moved to approve the Back Water Landscaping extension; Jay Watts seconded. All motions passed unanimously.
