Township staff reported at the Jan. 6 organizational meeting that the contractor working on Lesher Mill Road Bridge determined a full road closure was not necessary for the scheduled repairs. Township Manager Anne W. Klepfer noted that a hit-and-run accident was reported and preliminary photos indicate additional damage to the guide rail and a concrete wing wall.
LTL Consultants is inspecting the damaged area and is discussing repair options with the contractor already on site. The minutes record that the contractor is coordinating repairs and the township is monitoring the situation; no formal closure or additional directive was recorded at the meeting.
