District survey shows strong staff relationships but parent concerns on facilities and clarity

District leadership presented parent and staff survey findings intended to inform the district’s strategic plan and the ‘portrait of a grad’ work.
The parent survey (94 respondents) showed high marks for caring staff and community but identified areas for improvement: behavior management and accountability, facility condition and clarity about student progress and grading. As the presenter summarized, “The data was really strong on we do a good job of communicating out, but for parents, there was some negativity around how can they contribute back to the school.”
The staff climate survey (51 respondents) reported high perceptions of safety and strong relationships but flagged needs for clearer processes, proactive communication from departments and stronger consistency across buildings. District leaders said they will use these results to refine professional development, formative assessments and an instructional framework.
