At its Aug. 19, 2024 meeting the Trappe Town Council voted to approve a grant application to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for a girls softball field at Home Run Baker Park.
Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to "approve the grant application as submitted," and Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded. The recorded vote was: Newnam—yes; Sullivan—yes; President Schmidt—yes; Potter—yes (contingent upon a joint-use agreement being put into place); Chase—abstain. The motion passed. The council subsequently adjourned at 10:27 a.m.; Commissioner Michael Sullivan moved to adjourn, Commissioner Newnam seconded, and the adjournment was approved unanimously.
