Key outcomes approved by voice vote included the consent agenda (five routine items listed on the agenda), a bulk rock-salt purchase at $84.88 per ton from Wharton Salt Incorporated under the state bid, the insurance renewal with Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (annual premium $494,440; $489,004.95 if paid early), town board bills, and other listed contracts and warrants. The city also approved a property-levy resolution, camera and radio procurements, the initiation of demolition proceedings for nine properties and the transit contract with WIAAA (see separate articles for those items).
Votes were recorded as six 'yes' votes for most items; the minutes showed consistent unanimous approval among present members for routine matters during the meeting.
