Council introduces ordinance to replace Trappe's procurement policy, public hearing set Dec. 4

President Schmidt read Ordinance 4-2024 on Nov. 6, which would repeal and replace the town procurement policy governing purchases. Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told the council the revisions reflect changes councilors requested at the previous meeting.
Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to introduce the ordinance and Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The council scheduled a public hearing on Dec. 4, 2024 at 5:45 p.m., when residents may comment on the proposed procurement rule changes before the council votes on final adoption.
