Commissioners named proposed developments (Jesse Lasley, Sun Drop, Joe Mack) and asked staff to coordinate modeling of both collection and treatment capacity and preliminary cost scenarios.
Commissioners emphasized coordination with the town on planning and zoning, and with developers on timing and impact fees. The discussion raised questions about financing mechanisms: the meeting referenced a PID (special district) option under consideration by the town and asked the county attorney to review possible encumbrances and the county’s legal stance. A commissioner said county counsel would likely be asked to meet in a closed session to advise on drafting letters and legal implications.
