Trappe approves $500 staff bonus, approves $130,154 bid for influent screen rehab

Administrator Erin Braband presented an updated accounting of remaining ARPA funds at the Dec. 4 meeting. Commissioner Chase moved to give every employee a one-time COVID bonus of $500; Commissioner Sullivan seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
The council also awarded the influent screen rehabilitation contract to Bearing Construction for $130,154 on a unanimous vote. Council discussion produced direction (not a recorded formal vote) to have Attorney Lyndsey Ryan prepare an addendum to the sewer liner RFP (due Dec. 23) to increase the amount to $75,000, and to have Administrator Braband contact Davis, Bowen and Friedel for a contract amendment to add lead-line inventory services for $40,000 from remaining ARPA funds. A workshop to finalize remaining ARPA allocations was scheduled for Dec. 23 at 1:00 p.m.
