Commission approves prototype sign plan, discusses Chaffee bog boardwalk access

The proposed sign design is a 3-foot by 2-foot carved sign mounted on a 6-foot by 6-foot gallows-style post; the commission estimated 10 signs would cost roughly $200 each in materials (about $2,000 total) and asked Blake to produce a prototype and share photos for the commission website.
Members also reviewed the Trout Pond Forest management plan and concluded no major revision was needed; Blake will draft a minor update for the next meeting. The commission discussed a UVTA High School Trails Corps project to replace a bog boardwalk in Chaffee Bog; UVTA staff noted the higher elevation of the new boardwalk will require stairs or a ramp and members agreed stairs may be appropriate given existing trail access limitations.
