Under new business the council made several personnel and community program decisions. The council approved hiring Zach Bonin as Class 10 Scorekeeper at $13.00/hour, Class 11 Plate Umpire at $30.00/game, and Class 12 Field Umpire at $20.00/game (motion by Joe Morrissette, seconded by Mike Siebrecht). Council also approved sponsoring two veterans for the pheasant hunt program (motion by Jessi Lewis, seconded by Joe Morrissette) and declared a desk and stool at the library surplus at $0 value to be donated to the Spink County Museum (motion by Jessi Lewis, seconded by Amy Akin). All motions carried.
These items were routine administrative approvals recorded in the minutes; the record does not list the expected work schedule for the hire, the identities of the veterans sponsored, or terms of the furniture donation beyond the $0 surplus valuation.
