Browns Park Road paving advances; trail project waits on Army Corps permit

Public-works staff reported that Browns Park Road paving is progressing well and that contingency funds allowed additional chip-seal areas to be converted to asphalt. "We did some paving over there the other day... we had some extra money left over in the project," the staff member said, describing a walk-through with bids that enabled additional asphalt work.
On the trail project, staff said they are still waiting for an Army Corps permit and USDA approvals were resolved; once paperwork and specifications are finalized they plan a change order with UDOT and to advertise the project, aiming to begin construction later this year with some winter work and fall follow-up on slopes.
