Hansen presented a facade improvement grant recommendation not to exceed $18,525.70 for renovation work at an East Main Street storefront to support the opening of Orange Cup. The total project cost was estimated at $37,051.40 with the grant covering up to 50% and the owner funding the remainder; planned work included painting, installing a circular design, and replacing the awning.
Staff said the project was unanimously supported by the Facade Advisory Committee and is funded from TIF Fund 4. Hansen noted the work is expected to begin in September 2025 and said it should create three full‑time and up to 10 part‑time jobs associated with the new business. Council approved the grant by roll call.
