Trappe approves small ARPA purchases, tables Lakeview Park mulch and seeks more street-sweeper quotes

Administrator Erin Braband presented several smaller ARPA-funded items and park maintenance quotes. The council approved purchasing a desk, filing cabinets and a chair for the water/wastewater office from Amazon for $1,945.31; Commissioner Rose Potter moved to approve the purchase and Commissioner Michael Sullivan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The council reviewed two quotes to remove existing mulch at Lakeview Park and prepare the base for rubber playground mulch and asked Commissioner Jeremy Newnam to obtain an updated price adding a second layer of fabric; the item was tabled to the November meeting. Council members also reviewed quotes to purchase a new and a used street sweeper and requested additional information and more quotes before deciding.
