Resident invites council to 3rd annual African American Artisans exhibit at Weibel Depot

Carol Conwell introduced herself and invited council members and staff to the Weibel Depot on Saturday, March 21 for the 3rd annual African American Artisans exhibit, hosted by 3 CPAC and the Columbus Tiny Arts Council. “The 3 CPAC and the Columbus Tiny Arts Council will be hosting, the 3rd annual African American Artisans exhibit,” she said, adding that the group has been videotaping stories of African American elders across Columbus County.
Conwell said some of the elders whose stories were videotaped would attend and that the exhibit will include authors and artists. She encouraged council and staff to attend and meet the community members and creators present; no request for council action or funding was made during her comments.
