Chair (S1) called the Yuriko City Council public hearing to order at 6:06 p.m. on June 8 at City Hall and said the council would consider an amendment to the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and adoption of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027 budget. "Welcome, everybody, to the Yuriko City Council public hearing to amend the budget for fiscal year ending in June 30th 20 26 and to adopt the budget for fiscal year ending 06/30/2027 here at City Hall, Monday, 06/08/2026," the chair said at the start of the meeting.
Council members and staff then read through line items and totals. Staff presented revenue-line estimates including franchise tax, utility receipts, permits and program fees, and intergovernmental grants; the chair summarized total revenue at $860,400 and total expenditures at $860,400. One staff speaker described administrative wages rising from $96,000 to $101,000 for cost-of-living adjustments and certificates, and members discussed payroll, insurance and other departmental totals. Several council members advised caution about some historical figures and recommended adopting the budget now with a plan to amend once receipts and grant awards are clarified.
