Board approves educator stipend increase; management pay aligned

The Chatom Union School Board approved a tentative agreement with the Chatom Union Educators' Association (CUEA) for 2024–25 and a separate salary agreement for district management.
Superintendent Cherise Olvera read the tentative CUEA agreement to the board and the transcript records that "all staff who currently receive $840 will increase to $940." The motion to approve the educators' tentative agreement passed unanimously (Motion: Rob Santos; Second: Karen Macedo; Vote Ayes 5). The board also approved a proposed salary agreement for district management, aligning increases so management moves from $840 to $940 (Motion: Anthony Avila; Second: Rob Santos; Vote Ayes 5).
A separate tentative agreement with the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and Chatom Chapter #585 (agenda item 7.15) was pulled because CSEA's membership vote was scheduled for June 18; the item was moved to the special Board meeting on June 24, 2025.
