Snelling Merced Falls board approves routine business, ELO‑P to start this month

At its Feb. 13 meeting the Snelling Merced Falls School District Board of Trustees approved minutes, warrants, several policy items and audit actions; Principal Alison Kahl said the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO‑P) will begin this month with a parent meeting at 5:30 p.m.
The Snelling Merced Falls School District Board of Trustees met Feb. 13, 2025, and approved a slate of routine items, including the Jan. 9, 2025 minutes and February warrants. Board Chair Matt Leo called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 4:36 p.m.
Trustee Jessica Gobbell moved to approve the January minutes; John Dambacher seconded and the motion carried. The board also approved the General Fund (01) warrants totaling $31,132.36 and Cafeteria Fund (13) warrants totaling $4,481.45 after a motion by Gobbell and a second by Andy Fagundes. Principal Alison Kahl reported the ELO‑P will begin this month and that a parent meeting to review lesson plans is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. tonight. Interviews for the Lunch Director position are continuing.
The board approved a package of informational and compliance items — the School Accountability Report Card, the Comprehensive Safety Plan update, the 2023–2024 annual audit findings and corrective actions, the Mid‑Year LCAP review, and the ELO‑P salary schedule — each by unanimous motion and second as recorded in the minutes. The board did not enter executive session.
The minutes were signed by Alison Kahl, principal and secretary to the board. No individual roll-call tallies are recorded in the minutes; motions are recorded as “carried.”
