Christian Burke said a car had gone through his block wall into his backyard “for the 2nd time in 2 years,” that there have been several crashes and two deaths in the last year, and asked the council and transportation staff to evaluate speed mitigation and crosswalk safety. “My daughter would rather go to Craig Ranch than cross Revere Street,” Burke said.
Terrence (Terry) Maria described frequent speeding and burnouts on Coleman and said school buses roll through stop signs on his street. Residents asked for practical measures such as speed bumps, digital crosswalks, and increased enforcement; council members offered to follow up after adjournment and have staff or the ward councilmember meet residents on site.
