Water‑system staff reported that Wells 1–3 are fully operational for the summer season and that Plant 2 Well 2‑2 is nearing completion; the minutes state that GAC (granular activated carbon) testing is underway and that new samples for the EPA and quarterly samples for wells and tanks were taken.
The minutes also record that lead and copper letters were sent to residents with galvanized services and that Nassau County Health Department approval is required for Wells 2‑2 and 2‑3 to operate. The board noted coordination with the South Farmingdale Water District and recorded a staffing change: Frank Koch has retired and Jim Agett is now the village 1B Licensed Operator.
