Village water staff told the Board that Wells 1–3 are fully operational and that Plant 2 construction is underway. Minutes state total grants promised/received of $8.6 million and note that the WIIA grant program caps funding for Wells 2‑2 and 2‑3 at $4.6 million. Testing on Well 2‑2 has started; Well 2‑3 is expected to be completed with testing to follow pending Nassau County Health Department approval.
Staff also reported operational tasks including monthly sampling of GAC and AOP at Eastern Parkway, programming new set points for Well 1–3 for higher seasonal demand, markouts/monitoring during paving projects, meter readings and MXU repairs, and required reporting to NYSDEC on chemical bulk storage.
