Farmingdale trustees approve intermunicipal IMA, contracts, equipment sales and multiple fund transfers

At its June 16 work session the Village of Farmingdale board adopted several resolutions authorizing an IMA with the Town of Oyster Bay for storm drain cleaning, approved contracts and equipment sales, and moved multiple budget transfers totaling more than $225,000 into the Capital Fund.
The Village of Farmingdale Board of Trustees approved a set of routine but consequential motions at its June 16, 2025 work session, including authorization of an Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) with the Town of Oyster Bay for storm drain cleaning and several budget transfers and contract approvals.
Among the formal actions, the board adopted resolution #2026-06-24 authorizing the mayor to execute the IMA with the Town of Oyster Bay for storm drain cleaning services. The board also approved resolution #2026-06-25 to apply Small Claims assessment review funds totaling $10,287.61 for the 2024–2025 tax year, and resolution #2026-06-26 to approve the Fire Department EMS Medical Director Agreement for Dr. Jack Geffken at a cost of $4,433.70.
The board approved sale of surplus equipment under resolution #2026-06-28: a 2007 Elgin/Freightliner M2 sweeper for $5,600.00 and a 2007 Ingersoll‑Rand P185 air compressor for $2,850.00, sold via Auctions International. In a combined budget action (resolution #2026-06-30) trustees authorized transfers including $59,360 from Unrestricted Fund Balance to a Reserve for Special Use/Incentive Bonus; $42,581.74 to cover remaining South Main Street Phase I utility pole burial costs; $126,147.05 to reimburse General Fund expenditures for Yoakum Park construction; and multiple transfers from the General Fund to the Capital Fund representing final capital costs (totaling $108,487.86 + $1,778.44 + $115,681.36). An additional $5,791.84 moved from the Water Fund into the Capital Fund to reflect water‑system capital costs.
All listed resolutions were moved and seconded as recorded in the minutes and were adopted as presented. The board did not record extended debate on these items in the minutes; action details and dollar amounts were included in the official resolutions.
