At its March 11 meeting the Chatom Union School District Board took several administrative and policy actions. Trustees approved scheduling two June meetings (June 10 and June 24) by recorded motion.
The board voted to adopt a revised academic criterion for reclassification of English learners and approved Resolution #03-11-25-01 regarding employment of a short‑term employee. Trustees also received the Chatom Union Educators Association (CUEA) initial public‑sunshine proposal for the 2024–25 negotiations cycle—receiving the proposal does not itself change district policy but starts the public disclosure process required for labor negotiations. Finally, the board approved the district's 2024–2025 Second Interim financial report.
All listed actions passed with recorded votes noted as Ayes 4, Noes 0, Abstentions 0. The items were handled in the action portion of the agenda; there was no recorded public debate that changed the outcomes.
