Andres Pena, the sign manufacturer representative, described Sign A as a backlit building-identification logo measuring about 9 square feet with simulated polished-brass finish and rooftop-located electrical components. "The dimension of the logo... is backlit illumination," Pena said, adding the proposed area is under the 30-square-foot maximum. Committee members moved and seconded motions to approve each application as presented and the motions passed.
Committee discussion focused on keeping a consistent aesthetic across the three entrances. One committee member suggested using art or murals elsewhere on the building to provide differentiation between entrances; Ruiz said the project will include a north-side mural on Northwest 27th Terrace. The approvals were recorded as "approved as presented," with the body confirming that electrical components would be concealed behind rooftop or behind-wall features.
