Solano County Office of Education staff told the board that Golden Hills Community School has been selected for a five‑year implementation grant under the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP).
"Full service community schools approach program is to support the whole child by integrating focus on academics, health and social services, youth development and engagement," said Jess Baines Wright, who presented the CCSPP overview. She described the program as a collaborative strategy aligning local educational agencies, families and partners to improve school climate and connect students to services.
Presenters said Golden Hills hosted a countywide site visit and that the Capital Region CCSPP delegation and state partners observed the model. The board heard that Golden Hills will use funds to strengthen academic supports, add health and social services, expand youth-development activities and host visitors interested in replicating the model.
Trustees emphasized the countywide partnership role and encouraged sharing the program’s progress through newsletters and CSBA channels. SCOE staff noted continuing outreach to districts interested in planning and implementation grants across the region.
