The council approved a trade-in arrangement under Resolution 2026-05 to acquire a 2019 Chevy Colorado 4x4 in exchange for two surplus vehicles. Staff outlined trade-in values, title fees and the town's share of the purchase; members moved and seconded the motion and the council authorized the transaction.
Staff described the financials: after trade-in and title fees, "So that leads to town to pay for $6,013," a staff member said. Staff recommended allocating the expense equally between the water and wastewater utility funds (50/50), noting the replacement will serve utility operations.
Councilors said the town would remove lights and other equipment from the traded vehicles before disposition and directed staff to update fleet records and funding accounts accordingly.
