Director Colleen Letourneau reported that Genevieve Clark, 99, was honored with the Boston Post Cane during Memorial Day observances on May 25; Gen's sons Mark and Kit and a daughter‑in‑law were present and the town presented a citation from Gov. Maura Healey and a framed Selectboard certificate.
Colleen said about 44 volunteers attended a June 2 brunch at Zeke's to recognize service; the meeting minutes listed top hours of service recognized for Betty Whitcomb, Pete Vearling and Deb Lanou. Colleen announced her retirement party set for Thursday, June 25, 1–3 p.m. at the pavilion (potluck). The board also noted a small fundraising can drive by the Friends of Northfield Seniors that netted $165.40 and left the Friends with a balance of $2,248.38. Neighbors At Home reported an election of new co‑presidents and added at least seven new members and two new volunteers following recent outreach.
