The Chawanakee board approved a 10-year license permitting JS West to use one acre of vacant district property for propane tank storage, with the condition that any structures would require prior district approval. Director of MOT Nick Von Flue presented the proposal and outlined terms including a 10-year review at the end of the term.
Trustee Elisabeth Parish asked whether there would be environmental issues related to the propane yard; Von Flue replied, "not that he was aware of." The motion to approve the license passed unanimously (moved by Barbara Bigelow, seconded by Jack Thornburg).
