The Planning Commission voted Jan. 14 to approve a special-use permit allowing an edible marijuana production facility at 4725 and 4729 Vandenberg Drive (APN 14006510004). Staff reported the site is in an M-2 general industrial district, meets required distance separations and conforms to Title 17 provisions for production facilities; staff recommended approval subject to listed conditions.
Amanda Connor, attorney for the applicant ONGFR LLC, said the owner James Hammer was present and the applicant "agrees with all of the staff's conditions, including the landscaping, to be 50% of ground cover." No members of the public requested to speak. Commissioner Greer moved approval with conditions and the commission adopted the staff recommendation.
