The council approved two right-of-way vacation requests during its Dec. 3 meeting.
Brian Myers of Taney Engineering presented VAC06-2025, an application to vacate a small portion of Nadine Petersen Boulevard for a training facility site near the VA and Las Vegas Motor Speedway; he told the council the applicant accepted staff conditions. The council moved and approved the vacation.
Separately, Matthew Burge, representing KB Home and Westwood Professional Services, described VAC08-2025, a request to vacate 5 feet of existing right-of-way near Sandstone Street to accommodate Parcel 2.11 in the Village 2 development. Councilman Churchill asked and confirmed the approval would be conditioned on the parcel's final map; Burge said that condition is standard and planning staff is processing the final map. The council moved and approved VAC08-2025.
Both motions were announced as passed in the chamber; the transcript does not show a roll-call tally for either vote.
