Planning Commission approves Vegas Gymnastics Academy special-use permit at West Cheyenne

The North Las Vegas Planning Commission voted to approve a special-use permit for Vegas Gymnastics Academy to operate an indoor gymnastics and recreation facility at 3650 West Cheyenne Avenue, Suite 200 (SUP482025).
Staff told the commission the tenant would occupy about 22,000 square feet of an existing 65,000-square-foot warehouse. The proposed hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, with peak demand between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; staff noted the site currently provides 69 parking spaces while the combined uses would require 108, but additional parking exists on adjacent properties the applicant may utilize. Tony Lehi, representing the applicant, said, “They're very excited looking to come into North Las Vegas,” and confirmed no exterior building modifications are proposed.
Commissioners voiced general support for the access the gym would provide to neighborhood children and families. Commissioner Greer said the facility would let local kids participate without having to travel across town. The commission approved the permit with staff-recommended conditions.
