Planning Commission elects Ida Zeiler chair, names Commissioner Vieira vice chair

The North Las Vegas Planning Commission elected Commissioner Ida Zeiler as chair and named Commissioner Vieira vice chair at its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting.
Commissioner Guayman nominated Ida Zeiler for chair and put the nomination on the floor; the commission voted to approve the appointment and staff formally passed the gavel. “Thank you,” Chairwoman Zeiler said after the vote. The commission then held a separate vote to confirm the vice-chair position; staff announced that Commissioner Vieira had succeeded to the post though the commissioner was not present at the start of the meeting.
The leadership changes were procedural and were followed immediately by regular agenda business. Staff told the commission that Zeiler would preside for the remainder of the meeting and would relocate to the center seat at the next session.
