The board unanimously approved a Safety/Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP) that includes the new state Instructional Continuity Plan requirement for each school site.
Superintendent Jamie Nino explained the purpose and scope of the plan, stating that "The Instructional Continuity Plan is a new state requirement that must be included in the school site Safety Plans." The plan was described as providing clearer emergency communications and contingency steps for all district sites including Chawanakee Academy, Minarets Charter, Minarets High School, North Fork School and others.
Trustees voted to approve the ICP as presented during the meeting; the action was recorded as unanimous. The approval places the new instructional-continuity language into each site's safety plan for implementation and communication with staff and families.
