The Calumet Village Council discussed the status of a proposed marijuana ordinance during its Aug. 12 work session and asked Village Manager Megan Haselden to meet with the local school superintendent before scheduling a public hearing. Trustee Matt L'Esperance had moved to add the ordinance to the agenda earlier in the meeting; the agenda addition carried 7–0.
Council members did not take further action on the ordinance at the meeting; Haselden will report back after meeting with the superintendent. No dates for a public hearing were set in the minutes.
