The planning commission concluded deliberations on Oct. 7 by moving to recommend approval of SUP‑25‑0001 with the three variances and staff conditions. The presiding officer made the motion and it was seconded; the commission recorded the motion as passing 7–0.
Ruchi Agarwal reminded the audience that the planning commission is a recommending body. “The final decision, final vote is made by city council. That will take place on October 20 at 7PM, same location,” she said, noting the council hearing date and time. Staff also said that, if council upholds the recommendation, permit‑level details (tree plans, photometrics, and land‑disturbance documents) will be reviewed and required to meet city standards.
