City Manager Michael Johnson updated council on Belleview Pool maintenance, describing the crew’s work to remove persistent black algae by draining, cleaning with machinery and refilling the pool. "Coop has gone above and beyond. He's shown great interest in that pool," Johnson said, noting staff worked overnight and that a training session on chemical balance was held for maintenance employees.
Council member Albaugh and others praised the maintenance staff’s efforts and pressed about staff coverage and training attendance. Johnson said the pool was expected to open the following day (Johnson cited 1:00 p.m. as likely, with noon as possible) and asked council to recognize the crew’s work. No formal vote or expenditure was recorded related to the pool at the meeting.
