Council raises pool-safety and parks maintenance concerns after pool opening

Finance Director Michael Johnson said he would speak with the Parks and Rec Director about moving the slide and about compliance; he noted the slide was about 10 feet high and that certain railing gaps meant it did not meet Ohio law as configured.
Councilors also questioned why field-grooming equipment purchased for Murphy's Field had not been seen in use and asked staff to identify where the equipment is stored. Councilor Mayo raised vandalism at Beatty Park; Mr. Johnson said the matter is under investigation and he would provide an update next week. Council thanked volunteers who donated and painted picnic tables at Beatty Park.
