Staff update: EDA project near completion; bids for public works planned for summer

Hector Castanel briefed the council on ongoing projects. He said the EDA portion is finished though it still needs cleanup and a final inspection; he also said staff plans to bid a separate public-works project in June–July and will return with a final inspection and payment update.
Castanel said he will attend regular first-of-the-month meetings to report updates and invited council to request more details as needed. Councilors asked clarifying questions about timing, payment status and inspection requirements; Castanel said he was arranging the final inspection and will coordinate with Mary and other staff to close out the project.
