Fenton leaders review Community Center parking redevelopment at joint City Council–DDA meeting

A special joint meeting of the City of Fenton City Council and the Downtown Development Authority was held on March 25, 2026, at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center to review plans for redevelopment of the Community Center parking lot. Mayor Sue Osborn called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; the roll call recorded council and DDA attendance and a number of city staff and consultants present.
Assistant City Manager Michael Hart presented a soil condition investigation, and consultant Rob Bacigalupi presented a downtown parking study. Hart and Bacigalupi also displayed mock renderings of a possible parking structure related to the redevelopment. Multiple council and DDA members commented during the meeting, and a public question-and-answer period included a roster of community speakers. The meeting briefly recessed at 9:15 p.m., resumed at 9:22 p.m., and adjourned at 9:24 p.m.
