Greenville will allow a Perris Junior College officer to use the city's radio system and receive dispatch services under a new interagency agreement.
The police chief (speaker 6) explained: "This is to enter into a radio service agreement with Perris Junior College for their officer to be on our radio system and us to provide dispatch services to them." He said the arrangement mirrors the city's agreement with the Greenville Independent School District and is intended to provide communications capacity as the college's public-safety presence grows.
Council approved the resolution 6-0 with no public testimony recorded.
