At the podium the applicant, introduced in the hearing as Mr. Loveless, said he needed more time to finish a long-running restoration and repair project—describing a rotten porch post, a block wall and brick veneer, plywood sheathing for added strength, Tyvek, and handcrafted window sills and casement windows that are being installed. "Another year would be nice," the applicant said when asked about the requested extension. Staff confirmed the applicant had submitted an updated packet and images for the commission's review.
A commission member moved to approve the COA for replacing deteriorated siding, enclosing the porch lower section with antique brick foundation, installing new wood windows with true divided lights, and adding an entry door and roof stoop, and the motion was seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote.
