Board presses staff on field fees and artificial-turf heat precautions

Chris Vasquez responded to heat-safety concerns about artificial turf by describing construction and mitigation: "they're been designed with crushed walnut and, the the newest, technology in, artificial turf...we have ways to cool them down with water and things of that nature." He added that the city keeps natural-grass fields available for use when conditions make turf less appropriate.
