Loma Vista Principal Kristine Carreon presented a recognition of 15 students who reclassified out of English Learner status. Carreon said the students have worked hard to meet reclassification criteria and that reclassification opens additional academic opportunities.

She credited teachers' professional development and investment in first instruction as drivers of progress.
