Ordinance No. 21-26 would accept public water, sanitary sewer mains, and appurtenances in the Villas at Chester Commons development. Safety/Public Service Director Duane Streator said there was "nothing further to add," but Law Director John Gasior reported outstanding issues with the developer and said he expected to "receive information about deposits made by the developer within the week," signaling potential hesitation about advancing to a second reading before deposit requirements are satisfied.
City Engineer Ryan Cummins also noted the acceptance includes a small amount of storm sewer and reminded Council that maintenance bond terms and storm infrastructure are part of the original plan. Council did not vote on acceptance at the work session and the Administration will report back once the outstanding deposit information has been confirmed.
