City staff recommended entering a service agreement with Tyler Technologies to move municipal systems to a hosted environment and adopt software (Encode/Edcode) for utility billing, permitting and financials. Staff said the transition reduces local-server maintenance, ensures upgrades and provides a primary support path.
Council members asked for a presentation from the vendor and clarity about customer support and emergency response. Staff said they had submitted the contract to the city attorney and that Tyler’s hosted service would relieve the city of server maintenance and include upgrades. The motion to approve the service agreement carried by roll-call vote.
