Arcadia reports sites in service; wastewater plant drawings, bid timeline outlined

Hector Castaneda of Arcadia gave the council a construction update, saying site projects are already in service but require cleanup and removal of old casing. He said engineered drawings are being finalized and a 60% set could be available by March, with bidding for the wastewater plant expected by the end of March and construction in the summer.
"They're already they're already in service," Castaneda told the council, describing remaining punch-list work and inspection steps. Council members discussed whether the lot was inside the city limits, permitting and water-service options (city water versus well), and agreed the developer should submit formal plans and coordinate inspections before final acceptance.
Castaneda said the final walk-through will include the inspector, contractor and any city representatives, and that the developer will provide plans to staff for review. The council and staff also discussed timing for connecting to city water versus remaining on well water or pursuing county zoning if the lot is not yet annexed.
