Resident urges review of Republic trash contract and raises policing and event concerns in public comment

Council members did not take immediate action on the Republic contract at the meeting; staff noted the current contract has remaining time before reprocurement is required and agreed to provide the council with the contract history and current purchase orders for review. The public-comment segment concluded with expressions of appreciation for the chief, city staff and volunteers.
