Assistant Public Works Director Zydlowski reported the resurfacing project bids were opened and that Tree Construction was the apparent low bidder at approximately $1.4 million. He said added scope — including seven or eight additional locations for speed tables, installation of one pedestrian flashing beacon, and full reconstruction on Queens Court (removing and replacing roadway base) — increased the estimate beyond initial projections.
Zydlowski told trustees these scope changes account for the higher price and that additional curb work is included. The board approved the resurfacing award as part of the grouped new-business motion; staff said they will proceed with contract award and follow normal construction scheduling and notifications.
