Lake Marie Elementary Principal Ms. Eazor opened her presentation by honoring a student from each classroom who demonstrated the monthly character trait, "perseverance." The students recognized included Mario Muñoz, Alvaro Martinez Zavala, Anayah Dominguez, Loui Leon, Scarlett Camalich, Angelique Arias, Pablo Romero and Maria Gutierrez Camacho.
Ms. Eazor reviewed the school's CAASPP data and year-to-year score comparisons, and outlined an action plan focused on teacher collaboration, assessments to monitor progress, addressing learning gaps, activating student-centered best practices and strengthening the school's multi-tiered system of supports in partnership with families. She answered questions from the Board at the close of the presentation.
The presentation emphasized building a collective foundation and shared staff goals to continue raising student performance on state assessments.
