The Greensboro Fire Department said it officially reopened Fire Station 8 in the Glenwood neighborhood last week, marking the completion of a renovation project intended to modernize the facility. An agency official for the Greensboro Fire Department said, "The Greensboro Fire Department has officially reopened Fire Station Number 8."
Fire Station 8 was originally constructed in 1970 and has served the Glenwood community for more than five decades, the official said. The renovation—led by Samick Corporation—updated the building to create a modern, functional facility intended to meet the evolving needs of firefighters and residents.
