Council approves right‑of‑way dedications, street vacation, energy grant and county services agreement

Fairview Park City Council approved four ordinances on third and final reading Monday night.
Ordinance 26‑12, which accepts a permanent dedication of a 30‑foot public right‑of‑way along portions of West 220th Street and Mastic Road (amending language to remove the term "easement" and narrowing the described exhibit), passed after a motion to amend was seconded and approved by roll call. Councilwoman Mann moved the amendment and the roll call showed unanimous support.
Ordinance 26‑13, vacating portions of West 228th and West 229th Street south of Interstate 480 and updating directional language and exhibit maps, also passed after amendment by unanimous roll call. Ordinance 26‑14 authorizes the city to accept the 2026 Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) Energized Community grant to support energy efficiency projects; council approved the measure with no discussion. Ordinance 26‑15 authorizes an agreement between the mayor and the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works for core and additional services; the ordinance passed unanimously.
Clerk roll calls recorded affirmative votes for each ordinance; council returned Ordinance 26‑18 (purchase agreement for 22100 Mastic Road) to the finance committee and did not finalize that transaction during the meeting.
